It is great. If you own a USB powered external hard drive it is perfect for it. Each of the ports are powered by the hub. I would definitely recommend this to any one that wants to free up there desk space. Its also reasonably priced, 30 bucks for a powered hub you can't beat that.

Received this product very fast which was excellent news. I have 4 external HDD, Wireless Mouse and Keyboards (with USB wireless sensors), my Treo HotSynch cable and Flash drive all hooked to this Hub and to my laptop. Purring perfectly without any interruption or loss of connectivity. It is great to go to explorer and find anyfile on my HDDs anytime without having to pull or insert USB connectors.
Its size is a lot asmaller than in the picture and the LEDs are not much of distraction.
I purchased three cheap USB2 Hubs in the past and all have failed to work satisfactorily. It is true that you get what you pay for. I have had this for two months and believe it is one of the best purchases that I made.

This is one of the best USB hubs I have ever owned. I have had ones that had a lot of ports but they weren't powered. I have had ones where they were powered but they didn't have enough ports. This has just the right combo of the two. The LED's were annoying the first night that I had it but now I an use to them. They sort of add a cool touch to my room. Anyway you look at this, it is a good buy. Now, I have not had all of the ports being used at the same time but I can tell you that it works for what I have. Since I have a mac I have USB ports in the keyboard but since they are not powered it is like taking up two on the hub. (In one of the ports I have my printer and the other the mouse.) Then I also have a subwoffer plugged into the thing and it works fine. Then occasionally I will plug in my little USB powered fan and use that while using my flash drive and I still have no problem with it. Weather you use a PC or a Mac this is a must buy.

The one other reviewer was right on when they said this unit is much smaller than the photos make it look. I was a little worried this was a bit large for my desk area. It ISN'T large at all, see the pix I posted.
Unit works great and I am pleased. Some small nitpicky things are: The power brick is kinda big, the LED is really bright, and you do not use the normal A--B USB cord to connect the hub to the PC... you use an A--MiniUSB cord. Not a big deal, but I have lots of 8ft AB cords but no long A--Mini. The 5' cord that comes with it is too short for me. Thanks for reading.
