don't buy, brakes too easily [Posted on 2008-08-25] Three weeks after I bought this headset, the plastic inside the microphone handle broke. I fixed it with tape, but it affected the quality of the call (people would not be able to understand me properly, unless I would hold the handle). I emailed the company and sent them pictures of it. they were really nice and sent me a new one. only a few weeks later the new headset broke at the same place as the old one. I emailed the company again and got a second replacement, which is now broken too!
the quality of the plastic that holds the microphone handle in place is not good enough.
if you don't mind fixing the headset with tape once it brakes and then hold on to the handle while you're talking, this is a good headset ;-)
For the price, most excellent. [Posted on 2008-08-28] This headset provides good sound quality, both the headset and the mic, for a great price. I use them to listen to music as well as talking on Skype, and they work for both just fine. Obviously they're not hi fi or anything but for casual listening no problem.
My only complaint (as others have said) is that they do not fit over the ear, but on the ear, with mediocre padding. Under an hour is fine, but they start to hurt after that.
Overall, though, a great buy! I'm pretty sure you cannot get better value for the money.
Great for the price [Posted on 2008-09-18] Great item for the price. Crystal clear sound & microphone. Just an extremely tight fit. Absolutely could not wear this for an extended period of time.
Cheap Seems to Almost Always be Best With Headsets [Posted on 2008-09-24] After I began using Skype, I found a need for a headset, not just using my external speakers and a standalone microphone anymore. Not private enough. So, I picked up this headset since it was one of the cheapest, and I have never had a problem with cheaper headphones and phones. Cheaper usually means clearer sound. And, I wasn't surprised, this is a great headset, especially for the money.
The microphone is loud and crisp, anyone can hear me on the other line without hesitation. Same with listening to others, it no longer sounds like you are talking on the phone, but as if the person on the other line is right there next to you.
The cushioning is soft and fits snuggly on top of my ear, no discomfort whatsoever. However, it is a little tight, something that really can't be adjusted. If you have a bigger head than mine, not to worry, it's completely adjustable. The microphone is also adjustable 180 degrees, or, if you so wish, bendy so that you can move the mic further or closer to your mouth. Makes a great difference so that the person on the other line doesn't have to hear me breathing.
Highly recommended!
No techical support [Posted on 2008-10-09] I have this headset a while and it worked fine on my desktop. When I switched to a laptop using Vista the computer would not recognize it. Called technical support and got a recording that someone would return my call. No one ever did.
