Not Really A Good Value [Posted on 2003-02-02]
I purchased these speakers for my Dad's computer. For regular computer work and cd audio they are fine. Although, for the money you can do better with a little searching. The two star only rating was due to the massive distortion and humming encountered when using headphones. I had to return them due to the need for headphone use.

My parents ordered me these new speakers when they got me a new monitor. For awhile, they did work fine, and the sound quality was great. However, the other day, they randomly died on me after about 3 months' use. I'm stuck trying to find another relatively inexpensive set of speakers (while still giving the audio quality I'm looking for).

Terrible speaker that it comes with, i just removed the amplifier and made my own stereo using two 5.5" 25watt speakers from a car
Now it sounds great =)
can run off 12-16volt without very much audible distortion
Cons: Bad speakers, heat sink gets hot after jamming for a while at high volume
Pros: great 12w x 12w stereo amplifier, really small, desent sized sink made of aluminum, really cheap
