I am computer challenged and do not read instruction books yet it was easy and fun to make the ringtones. I bought and used an earlier version before and recently they sent me the free upgrade to the new version which allows me take a tune from a video on youtube. I can also have a tune longer than 30 secs. There is a step by step wizard, you paste in the youtube url and then follow the wizard. I chose to download the completed ringtone and transfer it by usb cable to my sony ericsson phone. I had a glitch somewhere and the tune would not play on my phone. I explained what happened and their customer service nicely and promptly replied advising me to rename the file in my computer by changing the extension to .mp3 I then did file transfer to my phone and the tune works wonderfully. I am happy.

This is a great product, especially for the price. They give free upgrades. I bought an earlier version about 2 years ago and I just got this new version for free. This new version is great. Every update has new features. It does everything I need.

I love DJ tone, not only does it pay for its self in the long run, it also gives you a chance to be original, and let your style flare! If your anything like me, I want ringtones that most people wouldn't have so this is a good option for those who are seeking that personal touch you wouldn't get by buying tone after tone from a site that charges you a monthly fee. Ive read alot of complaints about the sound of these tones, ive yet to have one sound bad, the older version gives you options on what type of file you want to download it as, and also allows you to hear it before you install it to the phone. The new version, has volume control options so u have a choice as to how your tone sounds. Unlike other ringtone creators, Dj tone allows you to keep your software even if you change phones or numbers, I think this is a win win situation.

I found the program so easy to use that I promptly bought the software and created more than a dozen ringtones for family phones. Then my boss bought it and we started competing to see who could come up with the best ringtones. My only complaint is that the sound quality sucks when it plays on my phone (sounds better on my boss's phone) but then what can you expect from cell phone speakers?

This software is easier to use than downloading from the Verizon site and doesn't require any monthly subscription. None of the ringtones I have created were available online anyway so this was the only way to get them. And I don't cause anyone else to grab their phone when mine rings (does yours sound like a train going by?).

I downloaded this program back in 2006 and I never regreted one second of it. I recommend it to all my friends. You can create unlimited ringtones to your specific liking! They have great customer service and continue to improve the program all the time and add new features! Definitely one of my favorite and smartest purchases! :)
