Does the job, but fuzzily [Posted on 2007-09-12] I have dual graphics cards (the one that came with my mother board & a Radeon 9200SE) so I needed a DVI (female) to VGA (female) cable to set up my extended desktop in Windows XP. The one I bought from here does the job, but the monitor is still a bit fuzzy and bright so some colors and detail get washed out. The same happened when I tried a DVI-to-VGA adaptor with my VGA-to-VGA cable so maybe it's the card but it's definitely not the monitor (I tried it out on several machines) and I'm pretty sure it's something with the cables. Either way, I have one sharp monitor that I move things over to when I need to. Conclusion: the cable does its job. I suggest that the seller indicate that the cable is both female-to-female, as indicated in the picture. No where else is that documented in the product specifications.
Very nice picture. [Posted on 2008-08-21] I keep lots of video files on my computer hard drive, and I watch them off a 40" 780p LCD HDTV. My ATI video card has a DVI output and my TV has a VGA input. I used to use an S-video cable, but the picture was mediocre. I now use this cable, and the difference is dramatic. Colors look closer to the way they look on my regular monitor, and text is actually possible to read.
