Not compatible [Posted on 2008-01-21] The above listed item does not work with multi-function print-scan-copy-fax devices. So I returned it for credit. This was not known to me when I ordered it.
Good enough for most, except HP, printers [Posted on 2008-05-22] The unit was relatively easy to easy to install for me. I am technically competent to a fair extent. I was disappointed that it could not connect with a 3 year old model, HP Officejet AIO printer. HP seems to insist that I use HP's own product, Jetdirect unit costing twice as much! :(
Absolute Garbage [Posted on 2008-09-23] If you're printing a page or 2 in black and white is is sometimes ok. As long as I've had it, it has made printing a chore. I mean, I despise printing with this. It's slow, sometimes it causes the printer to spit out garbage or blank pages of paper. The firmware upgrade procedure requires you to download this Windows only program. Google it and you will find that firmware upgrades are impossible as a "checksum error" will appear every time. STAY WAY FROM THIS POS!
Satisfied [Posted on 2008-10-10] Arrived Ok.
Easy to install on PC, but I can't make it work on MAC.
Great wired print server that is USB 2.0 compliant. [Posted on 2008-11-13] Reconfiguring my home office, I needed this to serve my Epson Photo R2400 printer which is now across the room from my desk. The installation went flawlessly. Just carefully read the instructions step-by-step. They are well illustrated and straightforward. I looked at other home network wired print servers, almost buying one of them because it was also a small hub. Reading the fine print, which was buried in the tech specifications, I found that the others were only USB 1.1 compliant, not fast enough for my USB 2.0 Epson R2400.
