Fun, but Ultramix 3 is better. [Posted on 2006-03-17] I play this game with my 10 year old and we like it a lot. We got this game after playing DDR Ultramix 3 for several months and we like 3 better. The songs are better and quest mode is really fun. I do like Ultramix 2 and would recommend it but if you are new to DDR, get Ultramix 3.
Pretty Amazing [Posted on 2006-06-21] Wow, this game is something else. It's not really about dancing; it seems a little more like step aerobics. This is perfect for people trying to lose weight. As mentioned, there are many options and several songs, including some familiar ones like "Brickhouse" by The Commodores. Right now, I like the "Workout" option where you can see how many calories you're burning. I think some of the step moves they put on the "beginner" option are too hard for a beginner, but most are reasonable. I also think the steps don't make sense with the music selected sometimes, or perhaps some of the songs just don't make sense to step to. This also makes the game more challenging.
I have had a problem with the game going crazy on me, i.e. in the middle of stepping through a song under "Workout" and the game just randomly exits to the calorie chart, and then to the menu and flies through all the song selections on the menu without my selecting any of that. And it also did this with certain songs I attempted to select--the song would start then immediately cut to the calorie screen. It might just be the disc needs cleaning or a problem with my XBOX drive.
To sum up, this game is great. I am adding it to my exercise regimen!
Ok game [Posted on 2008-01-18] I like the game but some of the songs i don't like. I got tired of it pretty quick but thats probably just me.
Dance,Dance Revolution Ultramix 2 [Posted on 2008-03-31] A friend of ours had the wii version of DDR ultramix and we had so much fun that we started researching for DDR ultramix for the xbox version because thats what we have and we didn't want to spend more money for the wii. We found DDR games and dance pads on amazon and they work just as good. You have to read the instructions well to understand how each game is played and how many people can play. Its great for parties or just the family and you get a great workout.
Fun Game! [Posted on 2008-12-12] Keeps ya moving! I would reccomend this to anyone. Great to keep children off their butts and on their feet.
