I used a 160GB hard drive to replace my Dell E1505 40 GB HD.It is very easy to copy the whole 40GB HD to the 160 GB by using this kit. But the 160 Gb HD became 40 GB exactly same as the old one. 120 GB lost!( Did checked with CMS before I bought it. CMS said should have no problem.)
CMS tech support said this is because Dell PC's bios problem.

I had purchased an earlier model of this device and it almost stopped me from buying this one. The phrase "new and improved" is truly applicable here. All of the negatives of the older device have been corrected. This unit and the accompanying software allows me to make a completely bootable backup copy of my laptop disk drive. I have even been able to propagate an operating system to an extra laptop (as long as it of the exact same model and manufacturer). This is a great device for increasing your laptop drive size or having a ready to go backup - in case of a disk crash.

Just follow the instructions and everything works exactly like they advertise. No problems at all swapping out the hard drive on my Dell Latitude laptop using this tool. The included software makes the job a follow the wizard and you can't get lost type of process.
