Ok, I will admit that there are somethings you should know about before you purchase this pretty cool little device. First if you are buying the and you don't have telephone service at all it WILL work. You just have to connect the device to the wall using in the connection that it says is for a phone directly connected to the gateway this way all your phone thoughout the house can commuicate with it. Second it does not provide a dial tone instead you will hear to beeps which means your are ready to dial. Third The device is set up so that you have to dial out a little differently than normal. You have to enter #1# or #2# in front of the number you are dialing which tells the unit which cell phone you are trying to call out on followed by # then it will call out. I love it also don't forget to turn off auto answer on your cell phone for headset mode other was your cell phone will turn on after the first ring and you will not be able to pick it up fast enough.
Works well with Uniden DCT648-2 [Posted on 2008-11-30]
It works well with my Uniden DCT-648-2 and Motorola razr v3 even with the phone charging about 14 feet away in another room. The only negative I see so far is that because I need to dial #1# before the phone number, it will not allow me to use the phonebook in my cordless phone (Uniden DCX-640).

After reading reviews here and other places, I chose to purchase this product to replace my office phone land line. It arrived, plugged it in and paired it with my IPhone on line one and a Audiovox SMT5600 Windows mobile on line 2. The pairing process was very easy. I was able to dial out and receive calls on both cell phones. On the Iphone, I had to turn up the BT volume all the way up. Up to this point everything looked great. I used an AAstra office phone and a Panasonic DECT6.0 wireless.
Now for the bad:
I need to be able to access voice mail, calling card, and Conference call system. This requires sending a series of DTMF tones with the numeric key pad. I tried every combination of all of the phones I have. No combination would send the keypad tone to the system I was calling. Feeling this should be something that would be a basic capability.
I called the tech support listed in the manual to make sure I was not doing something wrong or a setting that need to be configured. I was impressed, some one answered the phone right away and we could communicate in English very well. After that it went all downhill. I explained the issue I was having. He put me on hold for about 20 minutes and came back and told me that it was a problem with my voice mail system. I explained again there were several systems that I use and none of them worked with the Cell Fusion. I could hang up disconnect the Cell Fusion and dial with my cell phone and it works. To this his response was "unplug the power, the phone line and remove the battery" (there is no battery in this device) let it set for 15 minutes and then replace the battery, phone line and power. If the problem still exists it needs to be returned as damaged.
If you just make and receive calls - Great Solution.
If you need to send DTMF tones, I would look elsewhere.
If you have been able to make this device work with DTMF tones to voice mail and calling card systems, Please respond. I may have received one that was not working correctly

Great product and works flawlessly. Bought 4 of them as Christmas gifts and all are being fully utilized. Comments from gift recipients, "I've been looking for something like this...", "this is great, now I don't have to look for my cell phone when I get home...", "this is awesome!"
Very pleased with it and was really easy to set-up!

I purchased this item for the convenience of using my cordless phone through my cell phone because I don't have a land line. I followed the instructions to sync my cell phone with it and I was able to receive calls. Although, every time I attempted to dial out through my cell phone by pressing *1*number* I received a busy signal. So I tried to fix this by syncing my phone again like the troubleshooting section says. Nothing I did corrected this problem.
So, I called customer support and I was told that I can't make calls through my cell phone because I don't have a land line. I explained to the woman at customer support that I don't want to make a call through the land line just through the cell phone, and she said that it would only make a call if I had a land line.
I will be keeping this product since it receives the calls and I don't miss calls when I'm home anymore. However, if I was to do this over again I would look at other similar products.
