Good product but...... [Posted on 2008-12-16] I have had the Dect 6.0 Cellfusion Caller Id 2HS No Jack for about 1 month. Works fine with my wifes iphone, but drops bluetooth conection everyonce in a while with my Samsung A-737. Takes about 5-10 minutes to get back connected. Other than that it works great for us.
Could be a good idea! [Posted on 2008-12-18] I purchase this phone about two weeks ago. I'm using this with an LG VX8300 phone. It was easy to set up following the included directions. It performs as advertised with good clarity when connected. For some reason I lose the bluetooth connection once a day. That would not be a huge problem, but it does not reconnect unless I go through the sync process again. Any ideas?
Great camera [Posted on 2008-12-27] I really enjoy this camera. The bluetooth capability is great, and I use it a lot since I don't get good cell reception in my house. It allows me to talk on my cell via my home phone without the signal going in and out. The volume on this phone is great - oftentimes phones don't get loud enough for me, but there are no issues with that here. I tried a Panasonic brand bluetooth phone first and it had problems with dropping calls - but no such problems here. I've never had a call drop and I've had this phone for over a month. I'm giving this phone a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 because of the UI - the phone 'feels' a little cheap. But it works great, so I highly recommend it.
Great system if you are looking to use your cell phone like a home phone. [Posted on 2008-12-30] I am very satisfied with this purchase. I have seen pretty mixed reviews online for it, but I find it to perform as I had hoped. People that are complaining about dropped calls etc. must have bad cell coverage at their house, because this device is solid, no way is it contributing to or causing the dropped calls they are experiencing. Our two phones pair up with it by the time we are far enough into the house to see the base station. The only thing that was a bit unexpected is that pressing numbers on the handset during an active call does not pass those number presses through the cell phone. For example, if you are checking your voicemail from the cell fusion handset, you will have to pick up your cell phone to enter your pin, save or delete messages, etc. It is possible that this is due to the version of bluetooth our phones support but I don't have anything new to test with at this time. I would recommend this package to anyone wanting to use their cell phone like a home phone.
Not Expandable [Posted on 2009-01-07] Despite GE/Thomson's claim that this system is expandable to 8 handsets....good luck finding them, they have been discontinued.
I have spend endless hours arguing with thomson that they aren't available and they continue to insist that I should be able to "find" them at a local retailer or online....they can't even tell you where to buy them! Support passes you off to parts, parts redirects you support.....arrgh! At one point the customer service agent said that they were only "technical support" and that they don't have a customer support line at all and that they wouldn't be able to help me (this despite the website clearly indicating that the number that I called was customer support).
Bad Faith
Poor Execution
Terrible Customer Service
Avoid this product...especially if you want to buy it thinking you are going to be able to expand it.
