Customer Reviews:

Dude, don't get a Dell [Posted on 2008-06-25]
You are better off building your own computer out of parts from the 80's because that's basically what you will be getting. Where to start with what is wrong with Dell, customer support (they will argue with you), hardware failure (if it works right the first time count yourself lucky), the motherboard - you get what you pay for remember that, and if you do not upgrade then there will be NO slot available for upgrading later, and the funny thing is that it will work for about four months then the problems start. And as for their printers, RUN don't walk away, RUN far ans fast.

Can it run the sims 2? [Posted on 2008-07-15]
Does this computer run The Sims 2? Thats the only thing
I want it for. Well also for school work. But thats not
the point. Please reply if you could.

Dell Laptop [Posted on 2008-07-28]
This Dell Laptop was purchased through someone other than Dell. It started having problems from the moment it was opened. I took it to work with me and prevailed on a technician there. He ended up completely rebuilding this laptop in order to make it functional. The laptop we now own is no longer the one purchased as ALL the parts have been switched out for their reliable counterparts. Only the original "shell" remains of this purchase. I would NOT recommend this product be purchased from Technisource - from whom I purchased.

Zero Stars for this craptop [Posted on 2008-08-16]
I purchased this laptop a year ago and it didn't last more than 2 months. When I got the Blue screen of death and all my data disappeared, the computer guys explained that these people had installed XP in a system only meant for Windows 2000 or less. The harddrive got bad sectors on it and now I can only use a linux live cd to boot up. I'm still trying to get rid of this piece of crap and I recommend no one ever buy this. (I enjoyed the two months it worked by the way.)

Damn good piece of hardware [Posted on 2008-09-13]
Before you judge this laptop too harshly, I have to say that most of the reviews are over looking one important fact: you're running Windows XP! That OS is a prime example of a resource hog (tho not as bad as Vista) I've never had any problems with the laptop when I'm running linux on it, and it seems to run much better (cooler, faster, more compatibly) with the latest linux distro of choice than it ever did on Windows.

I guess the point of this review is to say that this laptop isn't for everyone, but it isn't crap, it just wasn't made for Windows. :)
