Hail to the King, BABY!!!!!! [Posted on 2004-05-31] after a few years of rehab from the addicting play of Duke Nukem 3D I am back repurchasing it again and going down for the count. I can't help but laugh my butt off when I play this game. Its famous "one liners" or example "Your face your ass whats the difference." or my favourite "Its time to kick ass and chew bubble gum but I am all out of gum." GT Interactive payed homage to the one of greatest movies ever "Evil Dead 2". This game is a classic and a must have for FPS fans and it even pokes fun of Doom. God, I am going to spend endless hours reliving my Childhood in this game. Please Buy you won't regret it.
Holy smoke, this is an exellent FPS!!! [Posted on 2004-12-05] This is one of the best FPS games I have played. Not just a fun game, but also it is hilarious! On Episode 2 at the ending, after you kill the alien, then you will see a very funny cutscene. The cutscene is, Duke loosens his belt, pulls his pants down, and he uses the bathroom on top of the alien.
You can also make your very own levels with Build. I recommend it.
Come Get Some Of The Original And The Best!!!!! [Posted on 2005-03-20] This was the best version of Duke Nukem ever released. It may have only had 3 levels, but it had enough stages in each to make it a kick %$# game.
With the cheats and codes it made the game fun for hours. I couldnt work out how to use the level biulders where you could custom make your own levels ect... but I did play a few of other peoples who created them, and they work very well, if you can work out how the heck to do it.
A true classic that is still great. [Posted on 2006-06-29] Wow!I love the Duke Nukem Games because all of that interactivity that is present and was used in Max Payne developed by the same company, 3D realms.I got a copy of the atomic edition from a friend a while back and I loved it.I did play the PSX port of this game but was not as goog as this version due to the sluggish framerate and blurry graphics. This version includes a new episode and a map maker, what more could you want.
The one game that lived up to its hype and more. It not only Kicked A... but did it twice for good measure. [Posted on 2007-01-11] This game truly lived up to the saying "They dont make em like this anymore" A silly wonderfull shootem up based on the then newly developed build engine which was put to amusing use in Blood, Shadow Warrior and Redneck Rampage. Interactive enviorments, saucy dialog, and some mean space aliens and our beloved Duke. His one liners have shown up in movies like "They Live" and the Evil Dead movies. Even Dukes frustrating "Where is it" when your trying to find the secret switch, showed up in Men in Black where Edgar Roach finding out he dosent have the galaxy but a diamond case cries out in the same plaintiff Duke voice "Ohh, where is it."
Except for 3d Realms, many fun companys have gone belly up or corporate bought, Interplay, Bullfrog, Maxis, bastions of creativity either shut down or now run by the suits. Well heres hoping the Duke Nukem Forever is not just a pipe dream or in Dukes case a pipe bomb and that we will rejoice one day to see it released.
