Best black comedy, tongue in cheek fantasy game around!:) [Posted on 2000-12-16] Brilliant and witty, Dungeon keeper 2's sure to make you laugh and keep you occupied for hrs on end. Crawl into the skin of the main evildoer of the land, just as you've always wanted to do. Build your magnificent dungeon. Kill all those nasty heroes. Better yet, make them suffer or corrupt them or make them into evil undead. Thumbs up to the people at Bullfrog for the best game I've played in yrs!

A Dark and Humorous Dungeon Romp [Posted on 2001-11-26] Dungeon Keeper 2 blends a morbid dark humor with a few ghastly features. The ominous voice of the narrator and the choleric background music definately lend to the mood of the game. The game itself is fun, and it centers around capturing several gems of uncertain power for the use of some evil demon (on your side of course). The control of the game takes some getting used to and sometimes you feel at a loss wondering how to summon certain creatures through your portals. The levels get progressively more challenging and even a few bonus levels are tossed in (though the bonus levels seem to be nonsensical and difficult to figure out). The later stages, especially Woodsong, I found to be all but impossible without the aid of online assistance. After several fairly easy expiditions the difficulty here raises tenfold even with the (rather large) patch that can be downloaded. Overall DK 2 is still a fun game but it has a few faults. People who play games for strategy are likely to be disappointed with it, as many levels seem to require none at all to win. Rather, you must simply wait around to get a brute force and storm the enemy with monsters and spells. People who like destroying things and building small armies will have a field day though. The movement in-game is quick and quite fun after you learn how to use it properly. -Zilean
Fun! [Posted on 2003-07-12] This is a very fun game. Its similar in play to WarCraft, though not exactly the same. You start each level trying to build up your base to "attract" the kinds of evil doers you want on your side. You then train them up and attack your human enemies. This game is almost as fun as WarCraft and is a definite good purchase.
