After receiving this item, we found out it was not what we needed. After going back several times with the shipper we discovered we could not return it. So now we have a product we can not use, plus being without the money.

The video card performs very nicely. No problems with the installation or the software drivers. Gives a very nice resolution.

I originally bought this card to have as a spare in case I had an issue with my more expensive gaming card. Relatively speaking PCIe is a fairly new graphics bus and all my other spares were AGP. Soon enough I had a chance to test this card out as I had to ship my gaming card out for repair/replacement.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that card performed better than other low end graphics card I was used to and I was able to play World of Warcraft (not particularly graphically demanding) at a medium resolution and detail. This, of course, is all relative and will be less relevent as time goes by.
One other detail that you need to consider is that it's a fanless card. On the plus side its one less fan to increase the noise in your system and then possibly die (which can then damage your graphics card in turn). On the negative side, you need to ensure you have at least a minor amount of airflow in you computer case. Its a plus for me as I prefer a quiet system with a minimal amount of quiet fans.
Nice cheap option for dual monitors [Posted on 2007-10-25]
The first card I received wouldn't properly display in a dual-monitor setup. After working with EVGA's support team, I shipped the product to them and they replaced it with a working model. They're support team was very helpful and willingly replaced the defective card. My only gripe was that I had to pay to ship it to them, that cost me another $10, so you have to add that to the original price. This is a good cheap option for anyone wanting a dual monitor setup. I'm a little disappointed in the NVidia settings for dual monitors, instead of having two separate screens, the software wants to combine monitors to make one big monitor. The only other option is clone mode, which does me no good. When combined, if you maximize a window, it is stretched across both screens. This makes it hard to read the text in the middle of the screen where the monitors split. I am currently exploring the Nvidia settings and hopefully will have this problem resolved soon.
Good passive video card [Posted on 2008-05-02]
This card has crisp DVI output and looks great at my monitor's 1680x1050 resolution. It's passive and fast, works great with HDTV in XP Media Center. With PureVideo decoding, it handles 1080i and 720p sources with ease. It's silent and has very low power consumption, making it perfect for a server or HTPC (Home Theater PC). It's also perfect for general home/office use.
Although not a particularly good card for modern 3D gaming, it should handle any 2004-era or older 3D games with decent framerates.
