It is a replacement inkjet cartridge. It works as well as one would expect. I have never used a different type cartridge to see if the colors are different with this printer. I have used a couple of these replacement cartridges, and they are excellent.

I ordered an ink cartridge (Eforcity Premium HP 78 color). It was slow getting here which I didn't mind. It fit into my printer (HP 1315 Photosmart), but it doesn't work. I tried everything I knew to try, but the cartridge wouldn't work. It felt very light. I had a new cartridge on hand, so I weighed the two cartridges and the new cartridge weighed over twice as much as the Eforcity cartridge. I e-mailed Amazon and they answered my e-mail promptly and courteously saying they would forward my e-mail to Eforcity. I recieved an e-mail from Eforcity about a week later saying to: 1. Mail the cartridge back in the original box. 2. Use the original return sticker 3. Return all replacable parts (?) 4. Return the original invoice with the original invoice number and original part number. They informed me that after receiving my return it would take 3 to 5 days to process my complaint, and then they would inform me on their decision. Unwilling to jump through all these hoops, I'm stuck with a peice of junk and a loss of the money I paid for it. Respectfully, James G. Everette
