Not at all disappointed [Posted on 2008-03-15] Great little clock. Easy to set. Obvious display. Only wish the dim setting allowed a little less brightness. I will be concerned if daylight savings time changes to a new day as it did recently. It's proper now and changed as declared, but beware should daylight savings time is adjusted again.
Absolutely Wonderful! [Posted on 2008-03-18] This is the best clock I have ever seen. I bought this for my husband because he has a hard time with clocks. It's funny because he can build a plane but can't work a clock. This clock turns off after a few seconds and with the wave of the hand, turns back on. This is a nice feature because at night time you don't have this bright light that keeps you up all night. When you want to see the time, just wave your hand in front of it. Also, when the alarm goes off in the morning, you just wave your hand in front of it and the alarm sets automatically to snooze. No searching for buttons! I would recommend this clock to everyone. Especially those who have a hard time with using one to begin with.
Finally - A clock radio I like! [Posted on 2008-03-31] I had the same clock radio which I loved for 20 years. When it died I went through six clock radios in six months and they were all terrible. I love this Emerson clock radio. The numbers are large so they are easy to see. Having two alarms is great and it is easy to find the button to turn the alarms off. My favorite feature is that you can turn off the display during the night and if you want to know the time you just wave your hand in front of the clock and it illuminates for a few seconds. Let's just hope it lasts 20 years.
Great clock, OK radio [Posted on 2008-04-11] I like the large readout, and the way it resets itself when power blips during the night. It is also very accurate, and the dual alarms work well. The one weak point with it is the radio tuner. The dial for volume works well enough, but the dial for tuning is not very precise. It takes quite a few tries to lock in the station you want, and if you are not very careful, you end up bumping the tuning dial when you are trying to snooze/turn off the alarm, so great clock, OK radio.
Great Atomic Alarm Clock [Posted on 2008-04-27] This is the second Emerson Atomic clock that I have bought (the first one the alarm set button broke off) and find them to operate perfectly as long as the US govt doesn't change when daylight savings time begins and ends. The unit has no way to adjust the time of year that DST changes so if the govt changes it again you are out of luck. The display is bright, big and easy to read.
