Best UMPC in the current Market with $400 [Posted on 2008-03-18]
So far, I have used this cuty for ~20 day, so good! I know in some more "professional" website, there are a bunch of negative comments on this machine. People compare it with EEE PC; with Sony UMPC etc.

My opinion is, the comparison is unfair: EEE PC give you only 2 to 8 GB so called "hard drive". but with Everex cloudbook, you get 30GB. My daughter has a 2GB EEE PC. It is good for her, but perhaps not good for a person as me, who really want to carry it everyday for some work.

As to SONY UMPC, the price is mch much higher, which can NOT afforded by most of the people.

I have been dreaming a UMPC for some time. Everex turned my dream into reality. Based on my use,

Pros:

1). needless to say, very light and portable;
2). easy to connect to WIFI;
3). huge hard drive (30GB)for a UMPC;
4). the design is "sexy". I like it including its black color;
5). the USB port is very fast for data transfer.

Cons:

1). power up is a little slow (much slower than my daughter's EEE). however, after powering up, the speed for use is good.
2). it is a little "hot" during the using. I guess because it uses true HD, not flash memory HD.
3). battery life is only ~3h, although Everex declares to give customers 5 h's battery life. At first, I thought the battery of my cloudbook is defective, and I almost return it to the seller. However, in a cloud book forum, several persons said they get only 3 h. I was thus convined that my cloudbook's battery is OK.

In summary, I like it.
