Easy on the wrist [Posted on 2008-07-27] Works as described, easy on the wrist. Takes getting used to, though. Light. Two buttons and scroll wheel work without driver in Win environ.
Good but not so good at the same time [Posted on 2008-08-04] When i first recieved my verti mouse i was impressed. I work on a computer 9 hours out of the day and wanted a more ergo mouse and thought this was the answer. After a week of using it i would say that although it is somewhat comfortable your ability to click on things is severally hindered. For this reason i sold it to a buddy and went back to a regular mouse. Construction is top notch though.
Good-bye pain [Posted on 2008-08-07] I've had this mouse for about six months now--I got it because I spend 8 hrs a day typing and had begun to suffer from elbow, wrist, and finger pain. Needless to say, that all of those issues are now gone. The design of the mouse, as the product description states, is such that my arm is never bent or stressed, and the programmable buttons make things easy on my fingers and wrist. The mouse does take some time to get used to, but so do a lot of non-standard devices...nonetheless, it's well worth it. In my opinion there is no better mouse on the market and I won't be using anything other than this mouse at home or at work.
Solved my pain from gaming [Posted on 2008-08-18] I play Warcraft III: TFT and began to have wrist/hand/forearm discomfort any time I played. I'd plant my wrist firmly on the mouse pad for stability and precise mouse movements, and that constant pressure for hours at a time was definitely taking its toll. I couldn't bring myself to stop, either, since if I moved my arm freely (without my wrist planted), my movements became very imprecise. I tried to do it, but every time mid-game I'd say "screw it" because it was too frustrating and I was doing terribly, and I'd switch back to my old ways to finish the game. Something had to change.
I decided to give this mouse a try because it seemed like it may actually be functional for gaming, unlike some of the joysticks or goofy ergo designs. And it is. I can plant the base of the side of my hand for precise movements, and my pain has gone completely. Serious gamers with mouse hand problems should look at this mouse.
Great Mouse [Posted on 2008-09-02] I purchased the previous version a year ago. It's great. I had a problem with pain in my forearm from mousing. It's 95% better now. Any pain I have is probably from using the trackpad on my laptop instead of my desktop. I purchase this new one for one of my co-workers as she was having pain also. She loves it and says it's helping alleviate her pain.
