After having some trouble with my wrists (I type a lot) I decided to buy this wrist rest, and I think it can be summed up by saying 'It's very nice'. In addition to having a soft, gel texture(contrasting with other less comfortable wrist rests, it's also an ideal height for whatever keyboard you're using. The only problem I had with it is that inadvertantly dragging my watch across the surface of it (while moving my hands across the keyboard) put some little imperfections in it because of the material it's made out of. Except this is only a very minor aesthetic thing, it's still just as good. Additionally, I had no problem getting used to it, oddly, and now I can't imagine being without one. Very good buy... well worth it.
Stinks - the smell just doesn't go away [Posted on 2005-02-27]
I have had it for 3+ weeks now, the smell from the back of the
gel pad does not go away. It is so strong that I can almost get a
high on it !

This pad has a terrible chemical smell. Cannot bear to keep it on my desk. I agree with the previous customer about the smell. But I am throwing the pad away today. It cannot possibly be beneficial to inhale the fumes from this pad. Forget about the possibility of spending long periods at one's desk working on this pad. The company ought to discontinue it.
