This laptop in my opinion is great. The vivid graphics, and centrino technology really do add alot to this. The only thing that I don't like is the size of the memory but it works out find for me. This laptop is great if you do some mulitasking, alot of time on the internet, as well as photos and video.

I did a lot of research on laptops and was willing to spend up to $2500 for one. I came across the MX3560 in one of the local stores and really like the look and feel. Very solid and has a beautiful display.

After a couple days of use I have to say this is one nice laptop. I'm getting 3-4 hours on the battery with the WiFi turned on all the time. I play a lot of NeverWinterNights game and get 3 hours with that and some pretty good performance as well. You wont be playing the demanding 3D games like Doom3 but it will work fine for just about anything else.

The A few things I don't like are minor to me but worth mentioning. The speakers are very tinny and don't have much volume. I get better sound from my Pocket PC. However they are serviceable and when I use headphones the sound is perfect with no his or distortion.

The other thing I don't like is the Right Arrow key is not as solid as the rest of the keyboard.

I have used the CD/DVD Burner and have not had any errors its very quiet. The windows Default writer software does not work and you have to use the included Nero software.

This is due to the fact that the drive shows up as 2 writers One as CD writer and one as DVD. Windows XP has issues with a system with two writers unless one is disabled. Not a problem cause the included software works very well.

Update

Couple problems have come up with the card reader. The first is that one of my SD 1gig cards is read only no matter what I do.

The other problems is that Memory Stick cards do not latch into place. You have to manualy hold them in place with one hand while you read or write to the card.

I have contacted Gateway about this problem and the only response I get is to download the driver. A driver that is 2 years old and is the same that ships with the laptop.

I still like the laptop but the gatway service has gone pretty much the same way as others. Poor or non existant.
