Card performs well in 54 Mbps range. Also comes with proprietary utility that takes over from Windows and configures this or any other wireless card that is used. Once familiar with this utility, it actually is more reliable than allowing Windows to do it for you. The range on the card itself is totally acceptable within the specifications of this wireless classification.
