Don't Buy These! [Posted on 2005-03-07]
I bought a 50 pack spindle of these HP CD-Rs that worked with no problem, but then I bought a 100 pack spindle, burned 20 CDs and 12 of them played with a few seconds horrible noises. I returned the 100 pack spindle to Staples and they replaced them with only a 50 pack spindle of these HP CD-Rs. After burning the CD-Rs I had to take the time to listen all the way through to check it's sound quality. Same horrible result. STAY AWAY!
I called HP Customer Service and left them a message on their answering service. They did not return my call and Staples will not take these back. Staples has been having an amazing sale on these HP CD-Rs for months. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from HP CD-Rs!
I use Sony and some other brands that make perfect CDs.

I've used over a hundred of these blank CD's & not one problem. I label them & have played some of them many times.

Don't buy Hp cd I had just purchased it and some of the cd's were corrupted. I had called Hp and they wouldn't do anything about this problem.

I agree with the two poor reviews above. I bought a bunch of these from Staples and have had nothing but problems. They are not compatiable with alot of players, and the ereeor rate is very high, not to mention that we they do work and you go back to them a few years later guess what you have, a disc that won't play.
No problems, when recording at 4x speed [Posted on 2007-10-17]
I have written JPEG photos and audio files to hundreds of these HP 52x CD-Rs. I have never had any problems. The difference between my experience and those who have had problems may be that I always write at 4x speed, while they perhaps write at 52x speed. But since I have a product and method that works 100% for me, I will continue to use these CD-Rs. I am about to order a few hundred more CDs right now.
