Poor quality control [Posted on 2005-09-26]
I received a black and a color ink cartridge for a HP DeskJet 950C. The black cartridge worked fine. The first color cartridge flat out did not work. The printer said it was defective and refused to even try to print with the color cartridge. I sent the color cartridge back and received a second color ink cartridge. This one worked, but about half of the cyan orifices did not work when the test page was printed. So I sent this (second) color ink cartridge back also. I am waiting to receive my third cartridge.
The service and turnaround is great. Emails fly forth on shipping dates and apologies for the defective cartridges.
45 & 78 cartridges -remanufactured [Posted on 2005-09-29]
got a couple HP 45s and 78s described as "new, remanufactured", and they were delivered fast and I've had no problems. look and work ust like my old ones, and cost about $15 less.
Deceptive sales practice, and it don't work [Posted on 2006-01-02]
I bought this item, and first off this supplier (it's not Amazon) shows you a picture of a brand new HP product. Read the entire print of your purchase, it's refurbished, not new. Marketing of this type is deceptive since many people associate their purchase with a visual of the item - in my book deception is a lie. I will not buy from this supplier again. Second problem occurred after I put in the black ink cartridge. Similar to other reviewer(s) here, it flat out did not work. I wasted a lot of my color cartridge trying to clean the cartridges, re-clean, prime, test, clean again...it's broke. Just simply don't buy this garbage, do yourself a favor and buy a brand new HP product packaged from the company itself. It will be 100% reliable.
Do not buy from J&R Music and Computer World [Posted on 2006-08-06]
I never got the product. There was a shipping problem that was not J&R's fault. However, J&R refused to work with me and UPS to rectify the problem. J&R's customer service failed miserably. Amazon's A-to-Z Guarantee stepped up to the plate and did a great job where J&R failed. Way to restore my faith Amazon.
Deceptive advertising [Posted on 2008-04-18]
I won't go into a lot of detail about the product performance. My main complaint is the deceit of the advertisement. They advertise by showing what appears to be an HP package of both ink cartridges, which I would think people assume to be new. I know I did. What arrived were refurbished cartridges. The color one was leaking right off the bat and had to be discarded. The company would not replace it. Avoid these and for a few dollars more, you can buy genuine HP, brand new products.
