HP Compaq Presario SR5310F - ///PARENT///Brand: Hewlett-Packard Binding: Personal Computers
will never buy one again! [Posted on 2008-02-22] I bought this computer from Circuit City. Had it two weeks and the network card went bad. I'm a computer tech, so I'm thinking "ok, they'll send me a new card and I'll put it in myself." But no....they want me to send them the entire unit!! I can't believe I've only had this two weeks and now I am going to be without a computer for another two weeks at least. Ridiculous!
review by Ben [Posted on 2008-02-25] Had very litttle trouble in setting up and operating the new computer. It is far faster than my previous system and it was fairly easy to transfer all my old programs from the old computer to the new one.The only problem encountered was that I needed a new set of speakers to operate with this computer.
Terrible Co...misleading computer [Posted on 2008-03-03] After one day of trying to get the HP tech to make a combo tv/monitor work, another HP senior tech suggested a graphics card, and specifically gave the model number. Card solves problem, but now draws more than the power supply is rated for, and HP will not cover the costs of a new power supply.
I would advise all potential buyers to stay away from HP/Compaq...I now understand why they are at the bottom of the "satisfaction scale" per Consumers Reports...terrible way to run a company
Excellent for the price [Posted on 2008-03-22] I'm quite happy with the 5350F. As noted by another reviewer, the keyboard is not to my liking, so I'm using my old one. But gee, 2G of memory for under $500? hard to beat. It does make a bit more noise than my last Presario.
Computer [Posted on 2008-04-03] this machine is pleasantly fast, with loads of memory and an outstanding hard drive. great value for money.
