Don't buy this printer [Posted on 2008-02-07]
I ordered an HP P1505 but could not get it to work properly. The failing: it won't print "selection" or "page range" from any application, especially MS Word. HP said a fix was coming in March.

So, I'm upset with HP, but I'm plenty put out with Amazon, too. They broke my order into two parts: the HP printer from Tiger Direct, and the toner cartridge from ANTOnline.

To return the HP printer I had to contact Tiger Direct to get a return authorization (RA)number and bear the return shipping cost. Ugh. But at least I was able to get the RA number.

Not so with ANTOnline. Neither their online system nor a call to technical support could recognize the Amazon order number and no ANTOnline order number was printed on anything I got. So phone tech support said to send an email with my story on in and they'd get back to me.

Can you believe such a mess.

Nice replacement for 1022/1022N [Posted on 2008-05-15]
I have bought several 1505's and 1505N's and overall had a great experience with them. They are the replacement entry-level Laser monochrome printer for the 1022/1022N. I like them better because they print faster than 1022 (in my experience) and have a power button on the front.

I did receive a bad 1505 but I emailed Amazon and they overnighted me a new printer and emailed me a pre-paid RMA label. Couldn't have been easier - Amazon rocks!

Great little printer! (If you need something a little heftier with HP, I would look at the LJ1320 and so on...)
