I've owned my hp dv6255us now for about 2 weeks, and it is the best notebook I've ever used. The 15.4" screen is superb, Vista works great, the microphone and webcam all work perfectly!
I have literally only one complaint, the battery life. It lasts roughly 2 hours, but because I'm always near an outlet/power source, that doesn't really apply to me so much.
However, all of its functions, the fantastic screen, the great laptop speakers, the very enjoyable touchpad are all part of the reason that I HIGHLY recommend this notebook. hp truly outdid themselves!
Location of power cord and usb port [Posted on 2007-03-28]
I really like the new notebook and the vista windows premium. The only feature that I do not like is the location where the power cord and one usb plugs in on the right side. You need to be carefull to not accidently damage them . My mouse pad and the cd player puts a lot of risk to these plug ins. They would be better located at the back of the notebook. My previous Toshiba notebook did and worked well for 4 years. Other than that I like this computer.

This laptop is amazing, the screen is perfect, the performance is very good even with vista, the design is great, i recommend to everyone. I don't test the performance for games, but i read very goods comments about.

Well i thought i might get my son a new laptop for christmas, bought this from amazon and have had nothing but grief since. No follow up to my e-mails asking for an explanation as to why, when sold as "new" i checked the serial number for warranty only to find a "refurbished" sticker on the bottom of the unit and "3 months" warranty. The wireless has never worked and i have had to reload the system 5 times.
Never again. and BE AWARE OF THE SUPPLIER
