Liked the 1st one so I bought a 2nd! [Posted on 2008-07-28] This special edition laptop has it all. Price, features, quality..3 months ago I reasearched every brand feature and associated cost and selected this lapatop for myself. Then my wife needed one too so I went thru the same process and still selected this laptop so we bought the second one...for $200.00 less then the 1st. Very happy with these purchases and saved the sales tax by using Amazon.con...such a deal!
Great machine with one flaw [Posted on 2008-09-02] I bought this laptop about a year back and right away installed Windows Vista professional edition. I love this laptop with one exception, the key board is badly designed. The mouse pad is extremely sensitive and it is very common that while type my had would touch the keypad and courser would move to a different location without my knowing.
Love my HP Pavilion dv6770se [Posted on 2008-10-23] I LOVE my HP Pavilion dv6770se - I would buy this again in an INSTANT - I purchased this back in April 2008 and I use it almost daily :) - LOVE IT!
Best value laptop [Posted on 2008-11-16] I use this machine for music, dvd's, online streaming of tv shows, managing my photos, video conferencing, video editing, music editing and it can handle it all. I have had the laptop for almost 1 year and after getting used to the dreaded Vista, I now quite like it. Vista seems good for Home rather than Office use, I can understand businesses sticking with XP.
My previous laptop was a year 2000 Dell Inspiron. For years that computer was holding on to its last breath, eeking out its miserable existence. Getting the HP Pavilion was like upgrading from a Citroen 2CV to a spacecraft.
Importantly, I have experienced no serious overheating problems and the power cord has a solid connection to the laptop.
Great [Posted on 2008-11-21] It is not the fanciest laptop around but it is reliable. Plus, It is great for de-friending lifelong friends on myspace.
