From my experiences with my HP dv9500t 17" laptop with Blu-ray/HD DVD ROM and DVD writable and the clock speeds are above part with ratings and so makes gaming, movies and 5 open windows running intense programs with little lag. For me HP has been great and I own a custom desktop that has been the best PC I have had and I have had many laptops and desktops.
