I have owned this scanner for several years, and haven't used it a bunch, but when I have it has been the best ever. The scans are high quality. Has a automatic feed, you can put a stack of photos in the slot and walk away and it will feed then thru and scan them all, and it is faster then any scanner I have owned before. It also has an attachment for negatives and slides, I have never used it, but i would guess from the way it does on photos and documents I would expect it to do very well with them too.
