I got Counter-Strike around August 2000 or 2001. It was and still is the greatest game I have ever played. Very addicting, fun, and original.

A while back they changed Counter-Strike so now, to play it, you would need to have this program Steam. It can be a bit hard to set up, but once it's set up anybody who plays it will be addicted.

Oh and if you don't have DSL or Cable, the download times are going to be ridiculous. DSL or Cable is definitly a plus when playing.

Through Steam Counter-Strike gets updated at least once every month, so most of the time it's a fresh bug-free game. I've probably spent hundreds of hours playing this.

this is the best game ever!im not kidding and im not lying.This game will top any other game that u think is better.The combination of ur teamates and the weapons the objectives it is VERY addicting.for 30 bucks it is a joke I will promise u u will at lease play a 100 hours the first week u get this!
P.S. if u dont have a t least DSL plz dont play this onlne ull only lag me and all the other players!

This game never gets boring. Had it for about 2-2½ years and i'm still playing it almost everyday.

Counter Strike is a very excellent game, I'll give it that. The graphics are very good, and I am a big fan for the 1st person view. I'd recommend checking out some screen shots and seeing if you like them or can get used to them. The game itself is very good, a good assortment of weapons, the guns are evenly, as in quality, distributed to the CTs (counter terrorists) and the Ts (terrorists). The only negative part about this game is that their is no outside game other then the online gameplay. If you don't have internet (I'm guessing you do knowing that you are reading this online review) don't get this game, because all their is in the actual CD-ROM game is training. The game is very addicting, so if you would like to do something productive it's best not to get this game. However, I enjoy this and when I have time their is a good chance I'm playing the game. The keys and control are great! Especially good for computer games, I am a big fan of them, because they are easy to use and quick to catch on too. Finally, the last negative part is that their aren't too many servers for beginners, though if you play with intermediate players you get better quicker. The loading is usually relatively quick, you better check out your computer settings, graphic card, and GBs available, before you get this game. If you are looking for a good shooter game that requires a little bit of tactics and communication between teammates this is definetly a must get.
