Features: Good...if your ages 3-7 [Posted on 2007-01-13] Way too easy. I'm not the huge gamer person, but I beat the game in under 2 hrs. The levels are easy and boring, I loved the movie, but...this game sucks if you are over 7.
Totally worthless [Posted on 2007-02-16] This game is, frankly, terrible. My mother purchased this game for me and though I love her dearly this game is one of the worst I have ever played. My first thought when I started playing was "this is a third-party game if ever I saw one" and that feeling did not go away. The voices are terible the scenery is lazy the concepts and information fail but the biggest problem is with the under-water levels. Overall the levels are boring, I find myself sick of playing the "race down the mountain" levels before they are half over but if they are stupidly easy then the underwater levels are frustrating by design. As you swim through the water you steer Mumble the dysfunctionl penguin up down, right and left trying to get items and speed boosts, alas the camera angle swings from side to side and up and down as well so it is difficult at best to know where you should aim poor Mumble. I cannot imagine any little kid doing these undersea levels sucessfully and I cannot imagine any older child enjoying the rest of the game. It has no redeeming qualities that I can see. It is in no way worth your money.
4 year old crowd [Posted on 2007-03-15] This game is for a very young crowd. My 4 year old son loves sledding and swimming-but the game is very limited in its appeal to my older children. If you have preschoolers, the game may be worth your while.
Great Game for Kids [Posted on 2007-12-28] I bought this game for my 5 year old and she thinks it is great. Even my little 2 year old can play it with a little help.
great for wee ones [Posted on 2008-01-27] my three year old loves this game. she has other games geared toward kids of her age, and she loves those as well, but this game makes her feel like she is plaing a "big kid game". truthfully she doesn't really win at a whole lot of the mini games, but she loves playing it anyway, and she loves the penguins. the controls are very easy for her to figure out, with minor supervision, and the graphics are really quite good in this game. bigger kids love this game too, and i don't even mind playing it sometimes some of the mini games are quite fun, like swimming through the ocean under the ice (the graphics in that game are quite pretty), and sliding on your tummy etc..for a game based on a movie, this was a good one, and we are glad we bought it.
