All you need to discover the cause of happiness [Posted on 2008-11-06] As a professional coach, helping people address issues that affect their health, being happy is an essential ingredient to their success. Thanks Marci for saving all that hard work in researching how i could help them (and myself) achieve and remain happy foro no reason. Great book!!
Happy I Read It! [Posted on 2008-11-08] Read almost any book on how to live a fulfilling life--including my own book--and you will be told that happiness is something that comes from within. It is basically a choice, and that choice is not dependent upon outside circumstances. Making that choice can be a challenge, however. There are many things that can inhibit your ability to choose happiness. And that's where HAPPY FOR NO REASON can help. In this remarkable book, Marci Shimoff not only spells out all the traits that happy people have in common, but she also provides some very specific techniques and exercises to help you get over anything that may standing in the way of your happiness. I highly recommend this wonderful and helpful book.

This is getting really old, really fast [Posted on 2008-11-26] I'm sorry, I have to defer to Shikitao-Brown's book once again. Tao Cycle Therapy: Natural Happiness via Self Directed Cure for Chronic Anxiety & Depression [Updated 2008 3nd Edition]
If you just can't get enough of this same old positive thinking/the secret/just love yourself junk, then "happy for no reason" isn't the worst I've seen. It's put together pretty well and it's fairly coherent compared to some others of this pop-psy genre. However, if you insist on buying and reading this same old stuff, maybe you should ask yourself if you really want to know what's going on in your brain or not. There are Real Books that will actually tell you. They don't spend millions marketing their books because they also have real jobs. The book I linked above (Tao Cycle Therapy) is just one of many that offer real answers.
How does this keep happening? [Posted on 2008-11-26] I really can't keep up with all the recent positive thinking garbage. If I didn't need to read this stuff for my job I'd be a much less frustrated girl. Maybe that's telling me something?(: I feel like Sarah Brown should start paying me a commission, because every time I read another "the secret" type book like this one here is, I find myself comparing it to Sarah's book (which is nothing like the secret), and they keep failing to stack up to it. Once again, here's the link to a real book. I'm starting to sound like a broken record: Tao Cycle Therapy: Natural Happiness via Self Directed Cure for Chronic Anxiety & Depression [Updated 2008 3nd Edition]
I liked "Tao Cycle Therapy"better, but this is pretty good. [Posted on 2008-11-26] This book is 3 1/2-4 stars. The one below is 5 1/2-6 stars.
Just my opinion, hope it helps- frank
