Keep in mind the reasons behind the bad ratings below:
1) Early versions of the game
The game had a lackluster release and the vast majority of issues have been fixed. Not only is the game less bug prone, it has added content and mechanics that make it a blast.
2) Weak systems
Their systems didn't meet the minimum requirements OR they had issues with installation. You can't judge a game's content if you've NEVER PLAYED IT.
This game is great. It's not an MMO. Judging it in that context is inane. It's a fast paced RPG meets FPS multiplayer experience. It is perfect for getting a group of friends together and having fun.
I'm not going to go into deep detail, but HGL is well worth picking up. As of mid-March 08, this game is more streamlined and far superior to its original form at retail launch. I've gotten about 15 friends to pick it up and not ONE of them has been disappointed.
If you're on the fence, go for it and pick up this title.

I enjoyed playing this game in single player mode right up until the final battle. At that point the game developed a glitch and I can't find tech support help to resolve it. I checked it'd forums and see a number of people have a similar problem. I'm sorry, but for $50, I expect to be able have a good killfest right up to the end.
Diablo in Purgatory [Posted on 2008-03-28]
In a word; BORING. Too much effort spent on lighting effects such as weapon flash or demon attacks and too little time on the environment. The levels are so similar that they quickly become tedious, so much grey, grey, grey everywhere. The way the NPCs jump and jerk around (bugs in their pants?) when you're interacting with them is irritating. Also because of a game flaw they can be in two places at the same time and remain after their dead with one NPC superimposed on another. All this time spent to develope the game with so little to show for it. Certainly not the worst game ever but don't pay more than $15. The story line? Hmm, not sure of what to say there, confusing? All the weak parts of Diablo with little of the good.Diablo 2

This game is pretty fun in tbe beginning(for a few weeks) but after that, i just stopped playing it or played it quite less. Iono, i guess the randomized levels and repetitions are way to similiar that you feel like you've done that already. I know this game is supposed to be repetitive in term of gameplay but I played diablo2 for more than 5 years and i still find the game enjoyable to play even to day.
In tern of graphic-wise, hellgate has some good gfx. I ran it out on 1650x1080 rez, max setting in dx 9.0, everything looks really nice.
Overall, i give this game a 3/5 stars.
Sad Disappointment [Posted on 2008-05-02]
Nowhere did I see that this game could only be played online. I will not play online games so this was a total waste of money. Shouldn't this be noted in the game discription? To rate Hellgate London I can't really give it any stars although the rating was manditory to post a review.
