This is simply a classic. I remember the day it was released, and I rushed with my brother to purchase a copy. Back in the day doom was all the rage, but when Hexen hit the market, things changed. It sported better graphics, the ability to jump, look up and down, and even fly!
While it doesn't even begin to compare with the complex stories and graphics of modern FPS games, it does take a trip down memory lane. There is also a playstation 1 format, which pales in comparison with the PC version.
Grab a copy of this while you still can, it won't be around forever. The only trouble with this game is that it can be quite tedious and repetitive, and some areas in the hubs must be unlocked in earlier hubs which cannot be revisited later in the game (unless you cheat).
Make sure to run this game in compatibility mode for windows 95.
When you are in the mood for the classics, and can use your imagination, this is the game to reach for.
