Enjoyable read [Posted on 2007-12-10] As a fan of the game series, I was very interested in this book. While not the deepest, intellectual read I've ever had, it was pleasantly surprised with the book. It takes the character to new places and does expand on what makes him tick. Some of the other characters are fairly flat and most are quickly dealt with by the protaganist. For someone with no knowledge of the games, it will be an easy, action-packed read. For a die-hard fan, there are plenty of "yea, right!" moments, but still I enjoyed the franchise (not 'The Franchise', mind you) moving to another media. All in all, a worthwhile purchase.
Nice book [Posted on 2007-12-18] I really enjoyed this book, I was not expecting much when I picked it up and saw the low price.
The author was unknown to me aswell, however this book has been quite interesting and I really liked the way the character progressed.
The plot is rather shallow, but it didn't bother me that much.
The action and emotions of 47 were well written and I found them to be in line with the personality I was expecting.
The childhood parts were also very amusing and offer some more insights into the hitman experiment.
I hope to see more Hitman literature soon.
great book [Posted on 2008-01-13] Is a great book. it's a better version of the 'movie' (wished the movie is as good as the book). for 47 fan's, this is a must read book
not spectacular, but good [Posted on 2008-05-13] I am a fan of the movie with the same name, so I decided to read the book and see if there was anything more to it. The book does cover some of the upbringing of our agent 47, but not much, which is OK. The book itself was good, but any fan of the movie or the game will notice a few discrepencies. I personally do not believe he would have asked for as much help as he did. Everything we are led to belive is that he is a lone wolf, but in the book he has multiple times where he is working with other people. Other than that it's a pretty good story.
This book is good on its own so read it, but try not to compare it to the movie or game!
brilliant read! [Posted on 2008-08-18] I am a massive fan of the hitman game series & was horrified to see Hollywood turn it into an one of the worst 80's b rate, action films, I have ever seen. One of the worst films I have ever seen.
I was very impressed with this book, I personifies 47 perfectly & includes some amazing concepts that would not work in a video game, but complement the character completely.
