Excellent webpage builder for beginer thru advanced [Posted on 2000-10-05] I started with Homesite as a novice and have learned as I built. Their product keeps getting better. I can build the web page, upload it to my website and make changes to it all from the same page. Verify links, html code for errors and check the time it takes a viewer to load a page at different connection speeds all from the same program. There are tools I have not used yet but I am still learning and Homesite is a program you can grow with.
Great product - beginner or pro [Posted on 2001-05-21] I am a Web Programmer and I use HomeSite every day. The programs' format makes it so easy to use. From the color coded tags to the wizards for just about anything. It even links to Dreamweaver for optional WYSIWYG editing and design. Even as a professional I find that the wizards ,especially the tables and frames, are invaluable. By using the wizard to layout the tables, particularly a fairly complicated layout, I save time and money. Several of the features like auto complete are great for beginners. And when you outgrow some of the help features like auto complete and tag insight, you can go to settings and turn them off. I especially like the validation and document weight feature. This allows me to check where I might of made a mistake in nesting tags etc. and I can check how long it will take for a page to load so that I don't create pages that take forever to load. I highly recommend this for any one wanting to code in HTML
