Definately not IOGear [Posted on 2008-03-07] It is so unfortunate that a company like IOGear can make such a shoddy product. This is my second one, after exchanging due to problems with the first one. I continue to have the same problem with the kvm constantly loosing connection with the keyboard. Having to reach to the back of my PC and unplug the device and plug it back in again gets frustrating quick, and defeats the purpose of having the kvm in the first place. Look at other kvm's before getting this one.
Meh [Posted on 2008-03-12] This switch works well when it works, but it often messes up for me and won't recognize the keyboard at which point your only options are to unplug and plug the keyboard directly into the system, or reboot since there's no software switch that you can switch using just the mouse.
You get what you pay for... [Posted on 2008-04-12] Nice product for basic usage - if you keep the setup simple the product should work nicely for you. If you need it to do more in a more complicated setup this may not be the product you're looking for - like anything you get what you pay for. Simple setup, simple operation, but like other home user level KVM you can get stuck in screens and not be able to exit until that process is complete, it would have been nice for a manual button in those instances.
Works like a charm [Posted on 2008-04-20] My second IOGear KVM. Love both of them. Just works perfectly. Soft switch from keyboard is very useful. Like Plug-and-play functionality. Have experienced no issues. And the price is very good considering this is all you need (no extra cables needed). Highly recommended.
Cool Toy! [Posted on 2008-05-14] This little gem is real easy to install and very simple to use. A couple taps of the Ctrl key and you seamlessly switch between the two computers sharing the same peripherals with only a 1-2 second delay. The unit can be put under the desk which is a great space saver on the desk. This was a great buy!
