i Love Science [Posted on 2006-04-28] I love science is a really good programme because I use it at school and it helps me to understand science much better. also you get to pick what parts you are not sure on and do them instead of doing everything you know. it has 3 sections. Rosies Treehouse. Mo's Workshop and Als. I hope many of you buy it because it is really good for Y5 - Y6. UK
Great on Windows 98 [Posted on 2007-04-21] This program is running flawlessly for us on Windows 98. My 6 year old is having a blast...each unit features a brief (one paragraph) reading segment that introduces vocabulary, followed by an experiment, followed by multiple choice questions. The experiments are user driven in that the child gets to choose what to try next and can do these things again without a time limit. They are set up simply and demonstrate the principles very well. (In the real world experiments never work quite this well.) The question section (in which the experiment setup is still on screen in case you need to go back and try again to answer) is very good starting with questions about results, followed by concepts and then ending with a question that extends knowledge. The characters are gentle and supportive for incorrect choices. The "game" component refreshingly takes up little time and includes questions or vocabulary drilling. The speed of these video components (even at the lowest setting) has been too fast. This is a great program.
Why is this software being sold? [Posted on 2008-07-12] If you computer and Os is not 10 years old, don't buy this product. It won't work. Works only on Windows 3.0, 3.1, 95 and 98. POS!!
