The very best headset I have ever used. Extremely good sound quality. Bass is >>AMAZING<<. I have upgraded to these from my Cheapo Plantronics headset. Many people will tell you that that sound quality on these things aren't that great. They lie. The sound quality is absolutely the very best I have ever had on any headphones.

I pop these babies on my head, start up F.E.A.R, and I will play 2-3 hours before I look at the clock. These things will make me play a lot longer than I should be. They are REALLY THAT GOOD. These will make your life outside the game disappear.

However, the price did just go up. I got mine for $36. :D

I found no Cons for this headset. They are very comfortable. They don't sound cheap or canny, either. I love this headset, they will be on my desk, being used by myself, for who knows how long. For a pro gamer, this is THE headset.

So tell your family members that you will not being seeing them for a few days, and pop these on. You will not regret it.

Microphone is oddly routed and utilized though "decent". Headset is comically large. Let the kids use this one, not an adult headset. Nothing special in the sound department considering the size. There's some better choices for the money.

My son headed off to college and little did I know at the time he grabbed my Icemats, which I bought just b/c of a great deal I found at slickdeals.net. Former son, now distant student :-) left behind some crappy Skullcandy headsets that I threw in the trash. I have to buy another pair of Icemats - there is nothing I've used with my PC that works nearly as well. They block out all surrounding sound with their tight fit around the ears, and now that my son is off to college I don't have to worry about him causing heart stoppage by putting a hand on my shoulder while I'm peeking around a corner in FEAR. They totally immerse you in the game and are very sturdy, with a very long cord (things you want, if you haven't played with headsets before). I'm not sure about the comment about 'not for adults' b/c I'm well into adulthood, and my hearing is definitely going which makes these even better (no problem with volume on these). I'm a bit concerned about the mic as I never used it before - I just disconnected it from the headset cable and put it in a drawer. That's why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 - the only reason. Seeing as how I never used the mic I don't know how well it works. Online reviews I've found say it works well so I feel pretty good about going with these again - inbound audio is great, that I know, I'll trust the good reviews on the outbound (mic). I now find a mic a necessity with online gaming. I'm buying another set right now. That should tell you something about my opinion :-)

The Icemat Siberia is essentially the lightest headset you'll ever forget you're wearing. Such comfort I have never experienced. The audio quality is superb, as if whatever you're hearing is occurring beside you. As far as price goes, I find it ridiculous that you can spend a couple hundred dollars on a "good" headset, and yet the only headset you'll need for a good long time is sitting right here at such a reasonable cost.
