IJET: Indy at his best [Posted on 2004-12-23]
This is really a fun game. I've had it for a while, but have only recently been able to play it (I'll explain later), and in the short time I've been playing it has quickly become one of my favorite games I've ever played.

Anyone who has played the last Indy game (Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine) can remember the poor graphics, lame bad guys, and boring action that was that experince. Sure, it was fun, and I enjoyed it, but compared to this new(ish) game, it might as well be Pong. In "Infernal", you took down most of your enemies with a pistol or some other gun, and it didn't really have that Indiana Jones feel. In "The Emperor's Tomb", the fighting gameplay is much improved, with variations of punching, kicking, whipping, shooting, and clobbering. You can use items such as chairs, bottles, table legs, and shovels to your advantage here, and so can your enemies. Yes, you do get an assortment of guns, but ammo is usually very limited, and you will often find yourself resorting to fisticuffs (Which is more fun anyway).

The graphics look sweet. There are waterfalls, trees, city streets, submarines, shipwrecks, and all kinds of great eye candy. That said, don't be fooled by the low price. This game WILL NOT RUN ON YOUR OLDER MACHINES. I made this mistake. MAKE SURE YOUR SYSTEM MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE YOU BUY. I had to wait until I got a much nicer computer before I could even load this game.

This is a must-have for the Indiana Jones fan, a chance to BE Indiana Jones, punching Nazis, whipping across chasms, and stealing treasures. Its just pure Indy goodness.

A fun action/adventure title... [Posted on 2006-01-20]
This was The Collective's third game, and it shares both its engine and has some gameplay similarities to their earlier (and better) Buffy title, which was unfortunately never released on PC.

The easiest way to describe Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is to say it's like Tomb Raider done right. It has much, much more polished (and less frustrating) gameplay, much better control, and of course much better graphics (not cutting edge by PC standards, but still very well done). There's a solid fighting engine here too-the combat works pretty well (though isn't as deep as in Buffy), and helps add variety to the Tomb Raider-style level navigation. The only "catch" is you really need a control pad for this-I'd recommend using Microsoft's wired USB 360 pad, which works great on PC.

As mentioned in an earlier review, you can't save anywhere. I didn't find that to be too much of a problem. There were a few levels I had to start over, but for the most part the game doesn't have "cheap deaths", and the gameplay is nicely balanced.

Wish You Could Save More Often [Posted on 2006-08-24]
This is a nice game with good graphics but makes you continually go through the same area since it only saves at certain parts. Other than that it is great.

This game is awsome! [Posted on 2006-09-04]
I have had this game for about 1 month, and it is one of my favorites. Some of it's highlights are:

-good graphics
-fun and realistic fighting
-intriuging storyline
-classic Indy feel
-large arsenal of weapons
-ability to pick up things like liquor bottles, chairs, and tablelegs and use them as weapons

The only sucky thing is that if you die, you restart the level. However,it's not hard to get to where you were. For anyone who care's, I'm in peng lai lagoon right now.Oh, and 1 other thing. You should DEFENETLY downloud the demo to see if it works on your computer. So, good luck!
