Best of 3 [Posted on 2008-06-11] This is my third Japanese language book, and it is by far the best. It gets exactly to the point quickly and clearly. After reading it one afternoon (I already knew hiragana and some kanji) I could start communicating with a few Japanese friends. When I was told there's a little mistake in my sentence (after I asked them if there were any), I pointed it out myself. I would highly recommend this book regardless of price, and for this price it's a no-brainer.
I love it! [Posted on 2008-06-18] I haven't had a chance to get through it all yet, but it is easy to understand. I'm only a beginner and this is of great help.
Japanese grammar review [Posted on 2008-06-19] Shows basic Japanese sentence structure, verb conjugation, useful words and phrases. Nicest part is it's small and easy to pack when travelling.
Good Beginner's Reference [Posted on 2008-07-24] The book is intended to be a beginner's pocket reference and it meets that goal well. It covers the most important topics clearly and concisely. I've had it for a few months now and I've found it to be quite useful although I wish there were more examples. I'm definitely glad I purchased this book and you can't beat the price. The authors really did a great job of getting an incredible amount of information into minimal space.
Excellent Reference [Posted on 2008-08-11] This book is compact, but since it is in two colors it is easy to read. It is focused on complete beginners of Japanese since everything is written in Romaji. There are no Kana script besides a reference chart for Hiragana and Katakana.
