don't buy [Posted on 2003-05-06] i tried to make backups of some of my more popular loaner dvd's no luck! i just made a bunch of coasters!!! other media (memorex, verbatim) worked fine. customer support was useless - saying it was for data only. on their website it claims to be useful for video and audio - not true!! what are video and audio? aren't they "data" as well?!!
Waste Of Time and Effort.. [Posted on 2003-05-08] My brother picked up 2 50 packs of these balnk cd's.After the first 3 had " errors?? " I figured maybe it was my computer.Well it wasn't ...Out of a 50 pack 25 decided that they had " errors " on them....Don't waste your money.Spend a little more for something better or else you'll spend less and get ALOT less.
Only half worked [Posted on 2003-06-28] Half of these work the other half didn't buy at you own risk I got cheap noname stuff that was great never buy this again.
A New Brand with Good Quality [Posted on 2003-07-02] It's unfair to give comments on CD-R under the DVD-R (first reviewer). In fact this Brand is new to me. I saw this brand a year ago at OfficeMax but never thought to buy and try it. I always use Name brand product such as Imation, TDK, Philips, Samsung, etc. Just recently I bought a 50-pk CD-R disk on spindle. I should say that I have no complain on this brand product. I use a selt-built computer with Cendyne brand CD-RW drive (32X, Lightning III?) with Nero Burner software. So far I have used up all 50 disks and none of them were "Bad" or with any "error info". I have tried 5 DVD-R disks for data back-up with Sony DRX-510UL external DVD+/-RW drive. There is no problem at all. I would like to see others review on DVD VIDEO recording and play-back.
These DVD's appear to work until you try to read them [Posted on 2003-11-24] Purchased a spindle of 25 of these and they appeared to work great. Then I tried to read the data from them. I tried several DVD burners including the ones I wrote these with and most would read the first 60-65% then fail reading the balance of the DVD. Some would not read at all. I got the same results with DVD readers. Tried to get support from Khypermedia concerning the problem and all they wanted to do was have me ship them to them so they could send me more. Since I had used TDK, MEMOREX, and FUJI DVD's with Sony, NEC, and Optorite burners without a problem I wasn't willing to pay shipping to receive more bad DVD's. You have been warned!
