My Lenovo 510 had a quite distracting glare even with nothing very bright in the background and this helps when there is nothing very bright, such as a lamp or the sky, in the background. The screen image is not noticeably blurred or darkened.
The screen protector is 2mm narrower and 3mm shorter than the viewable part of my 15.4 in screen. In my package too the sealed envelopes with the screen cleaning gel were completely dried out. Step 2 of the instructions tells you to start cleaning in the upper right corner of the screen and using circular motion, clean in overlapping rows from left to right. Even more confusing is the illustration for step 5, which appears to show the plastic covering of the sticky side of the screen protector being gradually pulled off with your right hand, with your left hand on the bare sticky side, pressing the nonsticky side against the screen. (The artist tried to make the right hand appear to be under the screen protector but he was unable to do that. Same problem in the next illustration.)
Like a previous reviewer, I was also unable to get rid of the air bubbles but I think they are caused by specks of dust which stayed on the screen because I did not use a substitute for the dried-out cleaning gel.

Decent protection and good glare reduction [Posted on 2008-08-17]
Like others I experienced minor bubbling around the edges which is this product's main drawback. Reduces glare nicely and protects the screen just fine.

Also, the little packet of screen cleaner was completely worthless and was totally dried out.

Over 5 years buying stuff on the internet and you have to get a dud once in awhile!

This product arrived with virtually dried up application chemical cleaners
and surface prep stuff. All they did was cloud up my screen and the protector film, fortunately; I was able to clean it off my laptop screen, but there were some anxious moments while I tried!

I advised the seller that he may have acquired some old/outdated stock and suggested they check it out?

All in all, not a recommended item.

I would have given it 2 & 1/2 stars if I could, but I decided to err on the side of generosity. The product doesn't totally suck, but it's not the best thing I've ever spent my money on.

What's up with the packets of "cleaner" always being dried out? I think Kensington could spare a few extra cents and either add more cleaner to the packets or provide a moist towelette-type of pre-cleaner.

Overall, the product does what it is supposed to do. I suggest you shop around for the best possible price because the amount that some retailers are charging (yes, that includes you, Amazon.com) is a royal screw job. It's NOT worth $20+ a pop, that's for sure.

Had I not destroyed the product I would request my money back. Terrible, impossible to use.
I have receipt no product, when I removed it after trying frustatratingly to use it , it was inadvertantly thrown out.
I would never buy this product
