As a laptop stand, it is fine. However, it won't run my speakers (get left channel only), or my USB keyboard. I ended up plugging all of my devices back into the laptop. I would look elsewhere if I were you.

This product works great! There are issues with third-party docking stations that have video ports, but this product simply replaces the problem of having to connect multiple cables, with the ease of just one. It puts the laptop's screen in a comfortable viewing position.

In short, I have no problem recommending this product.

This expansion dock has played its role quite well by letting me use my laptop as a desktop with perfection! It's a must-have ergonomic and practical accessory for everyone who needs the laptop to work as a desktop PC, back and forth. It's particularly convenient for professionals like me (an English from/into Brazilian Portuguese translator / interpreter at http://www.studio.pro.br) who work at my home office, but have to frequently take the laptop to work at international events. That's been quite comfortable to work in both situations with the same PC I'm used to. Sorry if it reads too obvious to you!

Plug and Go with No Problems [Posted on 2007-09-09]
This docking station and stand work as advertised. Follow the basic instructions and you are off and running. I'm using it with Microsoft Vista. I have a printer, network cable, mouse and keyboard connected to the device and everything works fine. And I don't notice any decrease in speed. Thumbs up.

This docking station did more than I had anticipated. I thought it was just going to give me an ergonomically correct way to view my laptop. But it also made it so much easier to read the screen. I hadn't realized how much difficulty I was having viewing the laptop screen until I got this device. It also gives me more desk space, which is at a premium.
