Great all around College (Note)Book Bag!!!! [Posted on 2007-11-27] Plenty of room for a few of your school books, notebook/binder, and your Laptop computer (with accessories such as AC/DC cord, extra battery). Pens, cell phone, keys, notepads.
I use it to store my school books in - 4 books, 2 notebooks, 1 binder, 17" Laptop computer, extra battery, AC/DC Cords, Calculator. Very easy to carry with its ergonomical handle at the top when going up stairs (when ramp not available).
I'm very please with my purchase. If this was any larger, I believe it wouln't be suitable for school/everyday use. It's the perfect size though if one was to use it everyday. I just need it 3 out of the 5 weekdays for school + home(work).
Great Travel item [Posted on 2008-01-07] The Kensington 62903 has compartments for everything and is slim enough to be wheeled down the aisle in the airplane. My last one was wide and a real hassle. this one is great.
Constant Traveler [Posted on 2008-04-05] I am very happy with this case. I have an HP DV9000t with a 17" display and it fits with 2" to spare all the way around. Yet the case is NOT oversized. It is very easy to handle in and out of the car, office, home, ship, or airplane.
I am a digital forensic investigator and this case has room for my equipment and still handles very well. I had a Targus Laptop Backpack and had over 50 pounds of equipment in it - it was a nightmare to move through airports and airplanes. This case is VERY easy to handle and despite the same amount of equipment it FEELS about half the weight of the backpack.
Finally, the various pockets, pouches, filing area, and the perfect notebook/laptop parking area make this the perfect all-purpose laptop case, which just happens to also have enought extra room to pack your overnight needs!
Oh yeah! The unique carrying handle which fuses two into one and the locking telescoping handle are amazing. You can pull OR PUSH your case with equal ease.
If we had taken the time and energy to design the "perfect" laptop/notebook rolling case, this is what we would have come up with!!!
Kensington has done a marvelous job. Bravo Zulu!!
Nice Carrying Case [Posted on 2008-07-08] I was very pleased with this sturdy carrying case/overnighter. It certainly gives me some flexibility when traveling. I like the double handle concept, but would like to see it securely fasten, as people who handle your luggage frequently grasp just one of the handles.
Sturdy, spacious flexible [Posted on 2008-07-10] Overall this bag has done great so far. Only a couple of trips since I received it, but I've broken it in.
I needed a bag large enough to carry a laptop AND a ultra-portable projector, plus a day's worth of cloths, plus anything else I need for my presentations (occasionally that includes lego sets!). All while staying hand-carryable and highly mobile.
Pros: lots of flexible space. The main clothing compartment is definitely enough for a clean shirt, slacks and other bare necessities. OR, in my case, a projector and squashed cloths. The center laptop space is well protected/padded, and will hold your laptop and power supply with ease. Unfortunately, there's still a lot of wasted space around the laptop. The small space for miscellaneous office stuff (business cards, pens, etc) is large enough for basics, but gets crowded quick if you throw in a presentation remote and flash drive. The paper/file section is a nice feature for handouts, but has limited space before it encroaches on the clothing compartment. The real star is the miscellaneous space to either side of the handle. It's perfect for toiletries, medicine (immodium! never leave home without it), personal electronics, even a book. It's better protected than the front pocket and makes good use of otherwise wasted space. Others have commented on the handle with justification. It is looser than I prefer, and doesn't give me the confidence maneuvering the bag that I would like. Depending on your hand size, it can also get uncomfortable to hold/drag for long distances. The large, wide-set wheels are nice and I haven't had any trouble with uneven surfaces, even gravel.
Overall, this is definitely too big for a daily commute laptop bag, but for one or even two day trips, it offers enough space and flexibility to accommodate most business travelers. For the Amazon price, it's definitely worthwhile.
