This wireless keyboard and mouse fits the space that I occupy with my iMac. It is compact and has good tactile touch. Due to its compact design you could easily transport both it and the mouse in a backpack with a laptop.
The underside of the mouse is where the USB receiver for both the keyboard and mouse is located. The receiver is plugged into any USB outlet. Docking the mouse onto the top of the keyboard will help preserve the two battery life which are included by Kensington.
These devices are supported both for Mac & PC as both icons are displayed on keyboard. Additionally, there are hot keys which allow you to eject a CD, search your hard drive; ope up email; launch your internet browser and a media key. Additional hot keys are located on the right side of the keyboard and they include a go back to a previous item or song (iTunes); play/pause; next track and volume buttons, up and down. The mouse is designed for both left and right handed individuals. I am right handed. I leave my iMac on all of the time and I noted that when waking the computer you have to click on the mouse to activate the device.
The keyboard spacing for the keys could be just a little wider which would make a few less key stroke errors which i made in typing.
I would highly recommend this wireless keyboard and mouse for purchase by individuals looking for a compact wireless keyboard and mouse.
The only drawback is that there is not an led or light which would indicate on the keyboard that the Caps Lock is set.

I wanted to love this keyboard. Small footprint was great for a crowded desk, and I loved the style. It ended up being nothing but problems. The keyboard would frequently cut out, or one press of a key would result in 5-10 of the letters appearing on the screen. First I put foam on the battery door to keep the connections and that seemed to work for a while but eventually the problems kept coming back and out to the trash it went. I'm back to using USB keyboards and mice, but I think I'll try Logitech- I have had great success with their wireless mice on my laptops. As I said, it's too bad- the design of this keyboard is great.

I just purchased this product and so I can't speak to its longevity. However, I can say that this was exactly what I was looking for in a keyboard. I do a lot of typing, and I love laptop keyboards for this sort of thing. The low pressure required to get a keypress, the small amount of depression required, etc. If you're not looking for a keyboard that feels like a laptop, you won't be happy. If you're looking for something you can take around with you and don't mind that feel, this is quite portable. The receiver handily stores in the mouse so that you don't have to go searching for it when you toss it in your bag. Speaking of the mouse however, I'm not a fan. It has a very small scroll wheel, and is not what you'd call ergonomically shaped, due to the either-handedness of the design. For the price though, the keyboard is good enough.
One very legitimate complaint is the inclusion of an apple key and a windows key. The order is apple, ctrl, windows, alt on the left side, and the apple key works as a windows key on Vista, at least. This is a killer, but you can get around it with a program like SharpKeys, which uses a registry hack to remap it (mine is set to ctrl, so I find the control key by feeling far left, and alt by far right). As long as this lasts two+ years, I'll be happy.

I got the Ci70 as a replacement for another Kensington wireless mouse and keyboard set which the mouse quit working. After troubleshooting a few minutes they sent out a replacementment. Unfortunately the unit they sent did not have a working mouse (It happens) so I called again. They appologized and said that the unit I had was not in stock but they would "upgrade" and send me the Ci70 set. It has worked great!!! Love the style and docking and basic mouse.
Only drawback I have is that I have not figured out how to use it with my laptop docking switch. It may not be compatible.
Functional, Quiet Keyboard; But Wireless Receiver has problems. [Posted on 2008-10-08]
This keyboard worked OK for about a year. When I say OK, I mean that functionally, this is a nice keyboard. The "scissor" action gives good feedback and is quiet. The key positioning takes a while to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it really isn't too bad. With such a small keyboard (one of my goals) there are only so many places you can put the keys.
The major downside to this keyboard was its wireless component. I couldn't get reception, even with new batteries, with the receiver plugged into the rear of the computer. I tried plugging it into my monitor's USB ports, which is a good bit closer, but still had horrible reception. Finally I plugged it into the front USB ports and they keyboard was usable.
However, a week or 2 ago, something must have happened to the USB receiver or transmitter. In the same location, I started having a problem with keys not responding and then if they respond, multiple keyyyystrooooookes.
I thought maybe there was a new RF interference source but I made sure there were no sources around the computer. So I surmise that my unit went bad after about a year of use.
Note that I did not use the mouse portion of the keyboard - mainly because when I had first tried it out it seemed to have much less accuracy than my current optical mouse, and secondly it was not ergonomic.
Maybe this really is meant for laptop use where the receiver is right next to the keyboard and mouse - but I definitely would not recommend it for desktop uses.
