large but good product [Posted on 2007-09-10] The first thing that shocked me is how large this surge protecter is. But then, I realized that the spacing of the inputs and the fact that they all face outwards makes it good for avoiding the problem when some plugs take up the space for 2. Doesn't happen with this
Excellent! Recommend to everyone! [Posted on 2007-09-19] I' ve been using this excellent power outlet for 8 months. I bought it because its good looking and moderate price. The real product feels solid and spaces between outlets are wide enough for big adapters. Recommend to everyone who's seeking an high-quality surge protector!
SmartSockets smart investment [Posted on 2008-01-18] The color coding, orientation of plug ins, the price makes this surge protector the one to use when convenience, multiple cords and price seem to be the issues.
Great product [Posted on 2008-02-08] I bought this surge protector because I have several components that have the large transformer plugs that take up the space of two or three sockets on a normal surge protector. With this product I can now use every socket because the sockets are turned 90 degrees and there is space between each socket. My large transformer plugs fit very nicely. It is a bit large, but that is not a bother for me. I have read other reviews where they stated that either the plugs were falling out because they fit too loose, or they couldn't insert a plug easily. I have not had either of these problems with mine and I bought two of them. All in all, I recommend this product. For those who may be concerned about the size, this surge protector is 12" long by 5.25" wide.
So far, so good [Posted on 2008-02-19] The reason I bought this item was because the cord is longer than usual. I wanted it to be able to stretch all the way beneath my large, antique desk. It does, and I couldn't be happier.
I cannot comment on the more technical aspects, alas. But it has worked perfectly in the six months I've had it and it's ideal for those of you who, like me, have endless contraptions on your desk and want them all neatly tucked away into one power outlet. My 2 lamps, computer, palm pilot recharger, Ipod recharger and radio all happily receive their electricity from this. No complaints.
