Good product...crappy shipping from Amazon [Posted on 2008-02-12] I've been using this memory in my Dell desktop for a couple weeks now and all seems to be working well. Programs load faster and I am able to have more applications open at the same time. I am not sure if this has happened to other buyers, but the shipping of the product by Amazon was very poor. They boxed the memory into a very large box and threw a couple air pillows into the package. When I got the package, the box was scrunched, and both memory sticks were out of their small memory package and just bouncing around inside the box. So much for the electro-static protection. I was not happy. They need to re-train their shipping staff. Would have been safer to just mail it to me in a darn envelope....
Increase computer speed the easy way. [Posted on 2008-04-02]
Installing the Kingston DDR memory could not have been easier in a Compaq Presario SR1620NX. So, for around $500 I have a zippy 2GB machine!
2 GB Kit 400MHZ [Posted on 2008-04-28] It is a fine product and meets the specification. However, there are certain computers, like my Dell Dimension 4600, where depending on the clock speed of the computer the memory operates below the 400 MHZ rating. In my case 330 MHZ. Again not related to the memory. I installed it succesfully without any difficulty.
Plug and play [Posted on 2008-05-08] I pugged this in and it worked perfect. Faster better stronger. Just like Lee Majors. Quick delivery. I'd buy more if I had slots. Dell Dimentia 4800. P5.
KINGSTON ROCKS !!!! [Posted on 2008-06-03] I installed these cards into what most people would consider to be a cheap knockoff, eMachines c6535 It has four total Ram sockets with a max of 4gb two open RAM sockets just waiting for more power.
the computer originaly came with 512mb in two 256mb cards. I added the 2gb and now my machine says 2.36 gb.Good enough for me I just opened her up, Popped open the end tabs on the memory slots, Grounded my self and slipped those puppies right into the slots. I locked everthing down and started her up. BINGO! . I've upgraded my RAM !!! I used Kingston mini Rams in an old HP laptop in the past and the windows just flew across the sreen.
The price here at Amazon was almost 6 bucks cheaper with free shipping. Can't ask for more !
