Works with Ubuntu Linux [Posted on 2008-02-22] This is a really nifty little flash drive that you don't have to worry about breaking. I know it comes with software pre-installed but the software doesn't work in Linux; however, the drive works just fine with Ubuntu Gutsy. I only wish it came in a more masculine color...
The sliding cap breaks down! [Posted on 2008-04-18] When I first bought this drive, I loved it because it was lightweight and very cute. Also, the Migo software that comes with the drive saves you a lot of time when you're synchronizing your files, especially if you're working on multiple computers.
The sliding cap seemed very practical at first but after I used the drive for about 6 months, it broke down. Kingston immediately replaced the product (I should probably mention that they have great customer service). However, this time, the cap only lasted a month although I paid special attention to be gentle with it. So I was really frustrated.
I am still a huge Kingston fan -I love its reliable and easy-to-use products- so when I shop for a flash drive the next time, I'll buy a Kingston drive with the Migo software but definitely WITHOUT the problematic sliding cap.
1/5/2008: Kingston replaced my broken drive with Data Traveler 400 this time and they didn't charge me any extra money although this new drive is more expensive (Another reason to believe that the customer service is great). This drive, though slightly bigger in size, is lightweight and seems more durable (thus far) so I would recommend you to buy Kingston DTM 400 instead of Kingston Mini.
nice and small, but a little hard to use [Posted on 2008-04-27] This usb key is very small and quite pleasing to the eyes. But I found it a bit hard to push the usb connector in/out. The mechanism feels clumsy and I always feel that it might accidentally cut your fingers or band the connector. I have a couple small usb keys that use a small switch type handle and those work better for me.
Buen diseño [Posted on 2008-08-24] Es una herramienta util y con un buen diseño, pero es demasiado fragil, de no utilizarse correctamente y con el tiempo se rompe el recubrimiento.
Junk [Posted on 2008-09-14] Doesn't work! Tried it on at least 10 different PCs (different makes, models, laptops, desktops, XP and Vista) - not one would recognize the "Fun" drive. I've had other Kingston USB drives that work OK, but this ones a dud.
