Great Sound [Posted on 2008-01-21] Great sound for the price. One of the best systems you can get for the price. You will enjoy the clear sound. Your neighbors will too!
Klipsch GMX A 2.1 [Posted on 2008-04-09] Very clean and crisp sound. I heard horns the way they should be, even though I lean toward strings for enjoyment. This system satisfies my ear from acid rock to blues to Tiny Tim ( I don't even listen to him er ? )
great [Posted on 2008-04-09] my 4th set definately more speaker than the dollar sign calls for crisp with much bass when needed great with movies
Awesome, bargain for 140 bucks. [Posted on 2008-06-12] It's amazing to me how many reviewers make a comment about the "hissing" in these speakers. Maybe I'm not entirely an audiophile or something, but I know a thing or two about sound since I happen to be a guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist, and music lover. The "hiss" isn't much of a hiss so much as it is just a tiny, tiny white noise that you have to put your ears next to in order to hear. That said, if you're playing any sort of music on it, it's completely unnoticeable - and last time I checked, my ears were working fine. As for sound quality: driving electric guitars sound like their coming from a live amp. It's so natural, and this sucker can get loud, too. Cymbals crash with a very believable shine to them due to the metal Klipschorns. The subwoofer puts out some tremendous bass. Everything is as awesome as I could possibly expect.
That being said, my set did come with a defective control unit (made the sub cut in and out, and the bass adjustment did nothing), so I shot Klipsch an e-mail telling them about it. I was extremely impressed when I got a response within 5-10 minutes and had one shipping to me within 15. Amazing.
Bottom line: You're not going to find anything for 140 bucks that sounds this good. Buy it.
They are for sale at 1/2 of what I paid! [Posted on 2008-07-09] They are good, but they are an overkill for a laptop, which is what I wanted them for, and Dell's speaker system, the bass is much smaller, but seems to sound better; same thing with the speakers, high tech as they might be, their design does not convince me at all (remember, this are the comments of a 53 y/old 1/2 bold guy, newer, younger generations will probably love them.
